• Appropriate state licensure to practice.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assist heavier lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect/interpret samples.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel on end-of-life care for pets.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws and policies.
