Job summary

DVM Focus, a well-established Hartford County practice, seeks a full-time Associate Veterinarian. New graduates and experienced doctors are welcome to apply. Role includes medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs, cats, and exotics.

Expect a 30–40 hour week across four days, Saturday rotation, and no on-call duties. Benefits include CE opportunities, insurance, retirement, and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited school.
• Valid Connecticut veterinary license.
• Confidence providing general medical care and canine/feline dentistry.
• Willingness to perform routine and soft-tissue surgeries weekly.
• Strong communication and commitment to client education.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine general medical care, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgeries for dogs, cats, and exotics.
• Support the human-animal bond through client education and compassionate care.
• Collaborate with team members and utilize traveling specialists/referrals as needed.
