Job summary

Echo Park Veterinary Hospital, part of PetVet Care Centers, seeks an Associate Veterinarian (DVM or VMD) to join a skilled team in north Los Angeles. Join a close-knit group, with two miles from Dodger Stadium, offering a 40-hour week and flexible three-, four-, or 3/4/3 schedules.

The position offers a compensation range of $175,000-$195,000 USD plus production, plus signing/relocation packages up to $75,000, and full benefits. Questions: [e-mail].

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current state veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA registration obtained and maintained as required.
• At least one year of veterinary practice experience, unless otherwise approved.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams, medical work-ups, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery within your scope of practice.
• Communicate clearly with clients and provide education about diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with controlled-substance protocols.
• Partner with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities, workflow, and team efficiency.
• Monitor cases from intake through discharge and participate in rounds when appropriate.
• Support a collaborative, respectful, and efficient care team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
