The Vet Service in New York is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established AAHA‑accredited small animal practice. You will deliver broad medical and surgical care, supported by a collaborative team and advanced diagnostics.

Qualifications

• DVM degree or equivalent recognised qualification from an accredited veterinary institution.
• Current New York veterinary licence in good standing or eligibility to obtain the appropriate professional registration.
• Sound clinical judgement and confidence in companion animal medicine, with an interest in developing advanced diagnostic or surgical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to building trusted relationships with clients and veterinary colleagues.
• Commitment to professional ethics, evidence-based medicine and maintaining excellent standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored diagnostic and treatment strategies for routine, complicated and urgent medical conditions.
• Coordinate surgical and dental procedures while maintaining excellent standards of patient monitoring and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with veterinary colleagues and clinical support professionals to provide consistent treatment across extended operating hours.
• Educate pet owners about preventative healthcare, medical findings and appropriate ongoing treatment recommendations.
• Utilise available diagnostic imaging and specialist services when investigating complex clinical presentations.
