Looking for a veterinary career that leaves room for a life outside of work?
West Concord Animal Clinic, part of the independently owned Middlesex Veterinary Group, is seeking an experienced, full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative and supportive team in Concord, Massachusetts.
Located in the heart of West Concord, our hospital provides high-quality, personalized veterinary care to pets and their families throughout Concord and the surrounding communities. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our clients, practicing excellent medicine, and maintaining the welcoming, personal atmosphere that makes independently owned veterinary practices special.
Our hospital focuses on comprehensive small animal medicine, including preventive care, dentistry, surgery, and the management of both routine and complex medical cases. We value veterinarians who bring their own clinical strengths and interests to the practice and encourage continued professional growth.
We believe great veterinary medicine shouldn't come at the expense of your personal life. Our doctors enjoy a 4-day work week with no evenings or weekends, allowing for a predictable schedule and time to enjoy life outside the hospital.
We're seeking an experienced veterinarian who is confident in their clinical abilities, comfortable managing a variety of medical cases, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care.
Our ideal candidate is someone who can practice independently while also appreciating the value of collaboration, strong communication, and teamwork.
We're particularly interested in someone who:
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution and must be fully licensed and legally authorized to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts by their start date.
West Concord Animal Clinic offers something increasingly difficult to find in veterinary medicine: the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine in a smaller, independently owned hospital where relationships, teamwork, and work-life balance genuinely matter.
We are proud to be a locally focused practice where our clients know our team, our doctors build long-term relationships with their patients, and every team member plays an important role in the hospital's success.
Located in beautiful Concord, Massachusetts, our hospital serves a welcoming community with easy access to Boston, surrounding towns, outdoor recreation, restaurants, and everything New England has to offer.
As part of Middlesex Veterinary Group, our team also collaborates with our sister hospital, Arlington Animal Clinic in Arlington, MA. This relationship provides access to an expanded network of experienced veterinarians, shared resources, and professional support while allowing each hospital to maintain its own unique identity and close-knit culture.
Unlike corporate veterinary groups, our hospitals are independently owned, allowing us to make decisions based on what is best for our patients, clients, and team rather than corporate expectations.
We're looking for an experienced veterinarian who wants more than just their next job. We want someone who is excited to become part of our hospital, contribute to our continued growth, and build meaningful relationships with our team and community.
We offer the opportunity to practice medicine with professional autonomy, collaborative support, competitive compensation, and a schedule that allows you to enjoy life outside of work.
If you're an experienced veterinarian looking for a privately owned hospital, a supportive team, great clients, and a true 4-day work week with no nights or weekends, we'd love to meet you.
