Job summary

Advanced Pet Care of Sedalia is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our small animal practice. New graduates are welcome and will find a welcoming team to help develop confidence and clinical skills.

We offer a four-day workweek, limited Saturday hours, and competitive compensation with a base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 plus a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The practice will relocate in Spring 2027 to support continued growth.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples and interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
