The Village Vet in North Baltimore is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a closely connected team delivering high‑quality medicine. This role offers a sign‑on bonus and a strong support structure with mentorship, including surgical training, ultrasound experience, and a four‑day work week with no weekends.

We provide full equipment for wellness visits, diagnostics and surgery, and a collaborative culture focused on growth, client relationships, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure required.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with heavier loads.

Responsabilités

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise clients on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counseling on pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain medical records for patients.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws.

Essential Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.

• Provide counsel around pet end of life care.

• Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.

• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
