Job summary

VCA Northpointe Animal Hospital in California seeks an Associate Veterinarian to join a multi-doctor, AHAA-accredited hybrid practice. You will deliver high-quality medical care in a supportive team, with access to advanced technology and a strong culture of collaboration.

The role supports a schedule of 4 10-hour or 3 12-hour shifts, with 8am–8pm hospital hours and occasional weekends. A rewarding career path with extensive benefits awaits.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in CA, or the ability to obtain.
• Commitment to high standards of medicine and veterinary ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary medical services to dogs, cats and pocket pets based on comfort of the veterinarian.
• Collaborate with a multi-doctor team to deliver world-class medicine.
• Educate clients and contribute to a collaborative hospital environment.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, available to work occasional weekends, 4 10/hr shifts or 3 12/hr shifts

Hospital hours 8am-8pm

Cases

Dogs, cats and some pocket pets (based on comfort of veterinarian)

Case examples, we see everything from vaccines to hemoabdomen. We do not hospitalize overnight, but transferring 24 hour hospitals are within an hour drive.

• Compensation
  • The annual salary range for this position is $125k - $180K.
  • Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. Salary range listed is based on a 40 hour work week.
