Practice Medicine With a Team Behind You

Blue Sky Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our experienced, collaborative medical team.

During your clinical shifts, you will work alongside one or two other veterinarians. This is a true multi-doctor environment—youwill not routinely be expected to manage the hospital and its caseload alone.

You will also have the support of credentialed veterinary technicians, experienced veterinary assistants, client-service professionals, and an established leadership team. Our goal is togive our doctors the people, equipment, and operational support they need to focus on practicing medicine and caring for patients.

About Blue Sky Animal Hospital

Blue Sky Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital serving dogs, cats, and their families in Wyoming, Minnesota, and the surrounding communities.

For more than 30 years, we have built lasting relationships with local pet owners through dependable medicine, compassionate care, and clear communication.

Our practice promise is simple:

Kindness, courtesy, respect. Every appointment. Every time.

Our doctors see a varied small-animal caseload that includes:

  • Preventive and wellness care
  • Sick-patient and urgent-care appointments
  • Chronic-disease management
  • Dentistry and dental extractions
  • Diagnostic imaging and in-house laboratory testing
  • Soft-tissue and selected orthopedic surgery
  • Pain management and mobility care
  • Acupuncture and therapeutic laser treatment
  • Advanced canine reproductive services

Surgical experience is preferred, but it is not required. We are open to a veterinarian whose role is primarily focused on appointments, diagnostics, dentistry, and medical case management.

Participation in surgery or specialized services can be based on your training, experience, professional interests, and comfort level.

Technology and Clinical Resources

Our hospital provides modern diagnostic, dental, surgical, and patient-monitoring resources, including:

  • Digital radiography
  • In-house laboratory analyzers
  • Surgical and anesthetic monitoring equipment
  • Companion therapeutic laser
  • Companion Stance Analyzer
  • Cryosurgery equipment
  • EzyVet electronic medical records
What You Will Do

As an Associate Veterinarian, you will:

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat canine and feline patients
  • Develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Clearly explain diagnoses, options, expected outcomes, and estimated costs
  • Maintain complete and timely medical records
  • Collaborate with other veterinarians on cases
  • Work effectively with technicians, assistants, and client-service professionals
  • Provide dental or surgical care consistent with your assigned role and experience
  • Recognize when specialty consultation or referral is appropriate
  • Contribute to a respectful, accountable, and team-focused hospital culture
Schedule

This is a full-time position structured for approximately 32-40 hours per week.

Our regular hospital hours are:

  • Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

The position includes rotating Saturday mornings. After-hours emergencies are referred to the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota rather than managed through a routine overnight hospital schedule.

Specific scheduling arrangements will be discussed based on hospital needs and your preferred number of weekly hours.

Compensation

Expected annual compensation ranges from $125,000 to $200,000.

The position uses a ProSal compensation model, with a production percentage of 20%-22%, depending on experience.

Actual compensation will depend on factors such as:

  • Agreed-upon schedule and weekly hours
  • Individual production
  • Professional experience
  • Scope of clinical responsibilities
  • Agreed-upon ProSal percentage

The upper portion of the compensation range generally reflects a doctor working closer to 40 hours per week, achieving stronger production, and performing some surgical procedures.

Surgery is not required to be considered for this position.

Applicants should have:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
  • A current Minnesota veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Eligibility for required federal and state prescribing registrations
  • Sound clinical judgment
  • Clear and compassionate communication skills
  • A collaborative and professional approach to patient care
  • Dependable medical documentation and follow-through

Small-animal and surgical experience are preferred but not required. Familiarity with EzyVet is helpful, but training can be provided.

Experienced veterinarians and qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
