Davis Veterinary Service is a well-established, fast-paced, 2 doctor practice located in Rensselaer, IN with a satellite 1 doctor practice in Winamac, IN. We are a full-service small animal general practice clinic with online reviews that boast about our compassionate, gentle, and informative staff! We are devoted to serving our community with the highest level of pet care by offering many services, which include dentistry, in-house labs, full body digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, surgery, and more! Our hours of operation are Monday- Friday from 8am-5pm. Our team is a tight-knit and caring group. Join us to practice big city medicine in a small-town country setting!

Winamac is a small town located in Pulaski County, Indiana, with a population of around 2,500 people. The town is situated along the Tippecanoe River and is surrounded by beautiful farmland and natural scenery. The Tippecanoe State Park is 4 miles north of town. Winamac is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, fishing, and camping in the nearby parks and forests. Winamac is the home for Braunability that modifies vehicles for people with mobility disabilities. The town also hosts several events throughout the year, including a popular car show and a winter festival.The Tippecanoe State Park is 4 miles north of town. It has 23 miles of hiking trails.

Despite its small size, Winamac has a rich history and cultural heritage. Winamac is known for its friendly community, strong school system, and small-town charm. It’s a great place to raise a family, run a business, or simply enjoy the peaceful pace of life in rural Indiana.

Special Working Conditions:

• Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time.
• Ability to be confident around animals (i.e., dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. Candidate to confirm species treated with practice leadership for additional clarity.)
• Client needs and work volume may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. This position may require special working hours, including working weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
• Must have mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Ear plugs will be available upon request.
• Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.
