Job summary

VCA Animal Care Center in Norfolk is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a small, supportive team delivering world-class veterinary care for cats and dogs. The role emphasizes mentorship for students and new graduates and collaboration with a dedicated team to advance medicine and patient outcomes.

Full-time position with standard hours, focusing on compassionate care, ongoing learning, and professional development within a trusted veterinary network.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in VA, or ability to obtain.
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class veterinary medicine for cats and dogs.
• Collaborate with a small team and contribute to a supportive clinic environment.
• Mentor and guide students and new graduates who join the team.

Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials.
