Job summary

Randhurst Animal Hospital in Mount Prospect, Illinois, is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to join our AAHA-accredited, privately owned small animal practice. As a new graduate, you’ll receive real mentorship, work with modern equipment, and enjoy a schedule that supports life outside the clinic.

You will provide wellness and urgent care for dogs and cats, perform dental and laser surgery, use in-house diagnostics, and maintain medical records.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree or equivalent, or graduating within the next 12 months.
• Active Illinois veterinary license, or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Provide wellness, sick-visit, and urgent care for dogs and cats.
• Perform general and laser soft-tissue surgery and dentistry.
• Use in-house diagnostics to guide case management and clinical decisions.
• Maintain accurate, complete medical records.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, and build long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with fellow veterinarians on cases and treatment plans.
• Support and help develop technicians and support staff.
• Uphold AAHA standards and contribute ideas to improve protocols and services.
• Compassionate, team-first attitude and eagerness to keep learning.

We're seeking a compassionate, motivated veterinarian to join Randhurst Animal Hospital, an AAHA-accredited, privately owned small animal hospital serving Chicago's northwest suburbs since 2003.

About the Hospital

Randhurst Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and critical care for dogs and cats at 212 E. Rand Road in Mount Prospect, Illinois.

The hospital is AAHA-accredited and held to the highest standards in medicine. Services include wellness and preventive care, dentistry, general and laser surgery, diagnostics, and in-house grooming.

The practice moved into a purpose-built facility in 2013 that features laser surgery, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, and an in-house lab. The collaborative team includes three veterinarians supported by experienced credentialed technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service staff, many of whom have been with the practice for 10+ years.

Because the practice is owner-operated rather than corporate, decisions are made in the building by people who know you.

The hospital serves a loyal, established client base across Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Palatine, Park Ridge, Glenview, Northbrook, and surrounding communities.

What to Expect

• Compensation: Competitive base salary plus production
• Schedule: 4-day work week; never work Sundays, and Saturdays wrap up by 2 pm
