About Hewitt Animal Hospital

Hewitt Animal Hospital is a well-established general practice in Florence, South Carolina, providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats throughout every stage of life. Our services include preventive and wellness care, in-house diagnostics and laboratory testing, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, senior care, and management of both routine and more complex medical cases.

Our experienced and compassionate team is committed to delivering high-quality medicine while creating an environment where both clients and team members feel supported. We believe pets are family and take pride in building lasting relationships with the people who trust us with their care.

For our doctors, Hewitt offers the opportunity to practice quality medicine alongside a collaborative team while continuing to develop their clinical interests. Whether you are looking to strengthen your surgical skills, expand your medical experience, or simply find a practice where you can build meaningful relationships with clients and patients, you will have the support and resources to continue growing.

We also recognize that a fulfilling veterinary career should leave room for life outside of the hospital. Our schedule is designed with work-life balance in mind, allowing our doctors to build rewarding careers without sacrificing the things that matter outside of work.

We are open Monday through Friday: 8:00am - 5:30pm; Saturday: 8:30am - 12:00pm
