Job summary

Quality Veterinary Care in Elmont, NY is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our compassionate, community-focused team. We offer a well-equipped practice with digital radiography, in-house labs, dental radiography, ultrasound, and flexible scheduling for work–life balance.

You will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with a skilled support staff to ensure patient comfort and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited university.
• Active US veterinary license or obtained upon hire.
• USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire.
• Current DEA license or obtained upon hire.
• Active, valid state veterinary license.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care.
• Build meaningful client relationships and educate on preventative care.
• Work with a skilled support team to ensure patient comfort and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the hospital team and help develop the support staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of veterinary medications and procedures.

Job Description

• Develop a relationship with our clients and partner with them to deliver the highest quality patient care possible.
• Treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety or discomfort.
• Stay up-to-date with innovative and emerging veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols and equipment.
• Collaborate and function as a team within the hospital.
• Help to continue developing the support team.
• Treat every client like family and each patient like theirown pet.

Qualifications

• Full Time OR Part Time Experienced Veterinarian
• Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
• Proficient in general medicine and surgery
• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
• Active Veterinary State License
• USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
