Job summary

High Country Veterinary Hospital in Southern Colorado Springs is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our compassionate small-animal team. You will provide high-quality medicine, build relationships with clients, and collaborate with our skilled support staff to deliver excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include exams, diagnostics, surgery and dentistry as appropriate, preventive care, and ongoing professional growth. A DVM and Colorado licensure or eligibility are required.

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive physical examinations and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnosing and managing a variety of companion-animal medical conditions.
• Performing routine surgical and dental procedures, as appropriate to your experience.
• Utilizing diagnostics including laboratory testing and imaging to support patient care.
• Communicating clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options and preventive care.
• Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care.
• Following and contributing to clinical protocols and hospital standards.
• Participating in ongoing learning and professional development.
• Providing occasional extended or flexible hours to support hospital operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Interest or experience in exotic and wildlife medicine is highly desirable, but not required.
