Job description

Seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our team to provide medical care for animals, diagnose and treat illnesses, consult with clients about their pets’ health, maintain patient records, and perform surgeries and related procedures as needed.

Location: Buzzards Bay, MA

Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr – $160,000.00/yr. This range is provided by JAS Recruitment. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

We offer flexible scheduling options, including consistent full and part‑time work.

Scope
  • Determine the nature of disease or injury by examining pets and large animals.
  • Restore health by treating animals surgically or medically.
  • Prevent rabies, brucellosis, and other disorders by testing animals and providing inoculations.
  • Promote health of animals by advising owners about sanitation measures, feeding, and general care.
  • Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and animal records; reporting diseases to public health officials.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhance veterinary clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • State Veterinary Board license in good standing for the state of Massachusetts at time of hire.
  • Flexible work schedule, with availability to work some weekends and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of animal behavior, husbandry, basic safety, documentation skills, customer service, diagnostic procedures, medical technologies, judgment, integrity, and verbal communication.
