Annual appointments are typically 15 minutes, standard appointments around 30 minutes, and more involved cases may be given up to 45 minutes. The schedule is intentionally not heavily booked. Doctors generally work a four-day week, with no weekend, on-call, or after-hours responsibilities. The position is open to new graduates as well as experienced veterinarians, and the practice has previously provided mentorship to new graduates.
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Full-time is considered 32 hours or more per week, with both full-time and part‑time opportunities available. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, comprehensive in‑house diagnostics, an in‑house pharmacy, therapeutic laser equipment, an ozone machine, surgical suites, anesthetic machines, dental machines, electronic medical records, and an AI medical scribe. Services include dentistry, general surgery, spay and neuter procedures, microchipping, vaccinations, life‑stage wellness examinations, nutritional counselling, behaviour management, parasite prevention, ultrasound, onsite diagnostics, holistic and integrative medicine, puppy and kitten through senior care, pain management, dermatology, internal medicine, office‑hour emergency and sick patient care, end‑of‑life consultations and services, acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbal medicine, Chinese food therapy, laser therapy, Alpha‑Stim therapy, flower essences, nutraceuticals and supplements, cryotherapy for small growth removal, ozone therapy, microbiome studies, and faecal transplants.
The hospital currently has one practicing veterinarian supported by a part‑time temporary veterinarian. Doctors are typically supported at approximately a 2:1 technician‑to‑doctor ratio. The wider support team includes one Certified Veterinary Technician, two veterinary assistants, and four receptionists who are also able to assist clinically when needed.
