This is an opportunity to join a privately owned veterinary clinic in Arlington Heights, Illinois, providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats, along with limited veterinary care for pocket pets including guinea pigs, rabbits, and rats.

The hospital offers a broad range of services, from preventive and wellness care to surgery, hospitalization, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, and other medical services.

As a privately owned practice, the clinic provides an alternative to the corporate veterinary model, with an emphasis on compassionate patient care, strong client relationships, and comprehensive medicine.

The hospital is equipped with in-house laboratory testing, digital radiology, ultrasound, dental radiography, ultrasonic dental equipment, and cryosurgery, giving veterinarians access to a wide range of diagnostic and treatment capabilities.

Surgery & Dentistry: Participate in elective and urgent surgical procedures as well as dental care supported by dental radiography and ultrasonic equipment.

In-House Diagnostics: Utilize laboratory testing, digital radiology, and ultrasound to support efficient diagnosis and treatment.

Limited Pocket Pet Care: The hospital sees guinea pigs, rabbits, and rats on a limited basis in addition to its primary canine and feline caseload.

Preventive & Life-Stage Medicine: Provide puppy and kitten care, wellness services, vaccinations, preventive medicine, and geriatric care.

About the Role

As an Associate Veterinarian in Arlington Heights, Illinois, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and wellness evaluations
  • Provide preventive veterinary care, including vaccinations and recommended preventatives
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
  • Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Perform and/or participate in routine surgical procedures
  • Provide dental examinations, cleanings, and related procedures
  • Utilize laboratory testing, digital radiology, and ultrasound
    Candidate Profile
    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
    • Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in Illinois
    • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
    • Comfortable with or interested in small animal surgery and dentistry
    • Excellent communication and client-education abilities
    • Compassionate, patient-focused approach
    • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to preventive medicine and comprehensive patient care
