4 Paws Pet Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinarian to join our team in Albuquerque, NM

About You

You're an experienced veterinarian who has built strong relationships with patients and their families--and you're ready for the next chapter. You don't just want to practice excellent medicine; you want to help shape a clinic's direction, partner with a growing team, and leave a lasting mark on your community.

At 4 Paws Pet Hospital, you will join a practice that has earned the trust of the Albuquerque community, with a 4.7-star rating from 548 Google reviews. You'll manage a diverse case mix-from wellness and preventive care to diagnostics, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery while working alongside a skilled team of doctors with specialties in cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, and feline medicine.

This is an opportunity for a clinician ready to grow into a Medical Director role, contributing not only to the health of individual patients but also to the clinical culture, standards, and strategic direction of the practice.

Our progressive compensation model includes competitive base salaries with production compensation opportunities plus, no negative accrual.

About 4 Paws Pet Hospital

4 Paws Pet Hospital is a well‑established, community‑rooted primary care practice in a highly desirable area of Albuquerque with over 10 years in business and a reputation for genuine, compassionate care. We see dogs and cats for the full spectrum of care.

Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound and X‑ray technology, enabling non‑invasive, accurate diagnostics. We are one of the few veterinary clinics in Albuquerque with full dental X‑ray capability.

We are open, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, serving Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Corrales, NM

Your Experience & Skills
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in general practice preferred
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership, mentorship, or team development strongly preferred
  • Experience or interest in areas such as dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, or feline medicine a plus
