Ideal candidates will bring 2+ years in underwriting or related analytics, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Job Summary

As a member of the Underwriting team, evaluates and underwrites insurance risks within the 10-999 life segment, balancing risk assessment with profitable business growth objectives. Builds and maintains strong relationships with producers, field partners, and internal stakeholders while delivering responsive customer service and underwriting expertise. Applies underwriting guidelines, company procedures, and state regulatory requirements to support sound business decisions. Contributes to departmental initiatives, mentors peers, and supports projects that drive operational excellence and portfolio performance.

Skills and Background You'll Need
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Higher education preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in underwriting or similar analytical role
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with state insurance statutes, regulations, and contract provisions preferred.

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range

25.36 - 37.26
