Fanatics Betting & Gaming, based in Denver, seeks a Trading Associate to support traders with data analysis, game management, and feature testing. You will help monitor bets, adjust prices, and contribute to continuous improvement with automation ideas.

Ideal candidates understand probabilities, game theory, and can work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations to enhance the customer betting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or current pursuit.
• 1–3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Ability to understand and interpret data and translate to probabilities.
• Ability to test sportsbook platforms and contribute to development and understanding of statistical probabilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a designated area of the Trading department, compiling prices, managing games, monitoring bets, and adjusting prices.
• Contribute to testing new sportsbook features and trading models, with feedback to the wider team.
• Assist with automation and identify areas for improvement across Trading.
• Support and collaborate with other Associate Traders within Trading to develop skills.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations to create a data-driven betting experience.

About The Team

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.

Overview

As a Trading Associate at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you are here to help us create an entertaining betting proposition that appeals to Fanatics customers. Reporting into one of the Trading Managers, you will be an important team player, assisting Traders with various tasks, including data analysis, game management, and testing features. Whatever your background, keeping the customer and colleague experience at the heart of everything you do is vital to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a designated area of the Trading department, responsible for tasks including compiling prices, managing games, monitoring bets, adjusting prices, and assessing customers.
• Contribute to testing new sportsbook features and trading models, while providing feedback and collaborating with the wider team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the Trading department by assisting with automation and identifying areas for advancement.
• Support and collaborate with other Associate Traders within the Trading department, sharing knowledge and contributing to their development.
• Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to create and implement a best-in-class, intuitive, and scalable betting experience for our customers - driven by data, user research, and competitor analysis.
• Ensure that Fanatics are putting the customer at the heart of our Trading strategies.
• Assisting other teams within the department where necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), or currently pursuing one.
• 1-3 years of experience in similar roles.
• A real passion for sport, and an inherent understanding of what sports fans want to be entertained.
• Ability to understand and interpret data, translating that data into probabilities.
• Ability to test sportsbook platforms while contributing to the development and understanding of statistical probabilities and game theory.
• Preference to work in an entrepreneurial, hyper-growth environment where decisions are made quickly.
• Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and effectively work cross-functionally across different teams at FBG and the larger Fanatics organization.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn, along with strong problem-solving skills.
• A flexible work schedule will be required, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Average weekly hours are expected to be 20–35, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
• This role is based in our Denver, USA office.

Ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual offer is confirmed.
