Job summary

Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in California is seeking a licensed-eligible clinician to conduct intake assessments and provide psychotherapeutic services in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

You will counsel individuals and groups, develop and implement treatment plans, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required (MSW, MFT).
• California associate level registration or higher required.
• At least two years in behavioral or psychiatric settings; one year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to determine medical necessity in an inpatient psychiatric facility.
• Counsel individuals and groups on psychological or emotional problems and develop treatment plans.
• Provide psychotherapeutic services to patients and families as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Lead group therapy sessions and complete master treatment plan reviews.

Job Summary

Conducts Intake Assessments to determine medical necessity in an inpatient psychiatric facility. Counsels individuals and groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, mental or behavioral health issues, and/or family situations and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans. Will provide psychotherapeutic services to all patients and their families; to serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy, and assure the delivery of quality treatment to patients and their families.

Education

Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required (MSW, MFT) required.

Minimum Work Experience

At least two (2) years experience with one (1) year in a behavioral or psychiatric setting preferred. Combination education and experience acceptable

Required Licenses

Must have California issued associate level registration or higher.
