Job summary

Peak Behavioral Health in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is seeking an Associate Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team providing direct clinical services under supervision. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, individual/family/group therapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning.

Requires a Master’s degree in social services or mental health, supervision weekly, and CPR/de-escalation certification. This onsite role offers a sign-on bonus and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• No professional work experience required; supervision weekly to align with state standards.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, participates in patient treatment planning and progress reviews.
• Conducts group, individual or family sessions with evidence-supported modalities.
• Completes sessions as scheduled and documents accordingly.
• Provides patient and family education related to psychiatric and/or substance use issues.
• Performs psychosocial assessments to identify plan of care components with patient input.
• Documents all patient care and incidents clearly with supervisor cosignature.
