Job summary

Prosperous Health San Diego, LLC is seeking a Therapist at associate or licensed LMHP level to deliver individual, group, and family therapy in a compassionate outpatient setting. You will develop treatment plans, perform comprehensive assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and well-being.

The position requires California registration (AMFT/ACSW/APCC or LMFT/LCSW/LPCC), a Master’s degree in a related field, and experience with evidence-based therapies.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as AMFT, ACSW, or APCC in California is required.
  • Current licensure as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC in California is required.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Experience with mental health and substance use disorders in outpatient or residential settings.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, EMDR, MI).

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of progress and sessions in EHR.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
  • Participate in case reviews, supervision, and team meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Stay current on therapeutic techniques and professional development.
  • Educate clients and families on coping strategies and recovery resources.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality.

Position Title: Therapist (Associate-Level or Licensed LMHP)
Salary Range:
  • Associate-Level (AMFT, ACSW, APCC): $70,000 - $85,000 per year
  • Licensed-Level (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC): $85,000 - $105,000 per year
Supervisor: Clinical Supervisor

Summary of Major Responsibilities:

Therapists at Prosperous Health San Diego provide direct clinical services to clients, including individual, group, and family therapy. Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor, this role focuses on delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients’ recovery and mental health goals. Therapists play a critical role in fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for clients to heal and thrive.

Detailed Duty Statement:
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with clinical goals and best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize client outcomes.
  • Participate in case reviews, clinical supervision, and team meetings to ensure consistency and quality of care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Stay current on advancements in therapeutic techniques and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Educate clients and their families on coping strategies, recovery resources, and mental health conditions to empower them in their journey.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in therapy, such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or Motivational Interviewing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and client-centered care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
