KBR, Inc. is seeking an Associate Technical Professional in Sustainable Technology Solutions in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will perform process engineering tasks under supervision, focusing on process simulation, P&IDs, offsite utilities, and data sheet production.

Title: Associate Technical Professional KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
As a Process Engineer you are responsible for performing the activities list below under the supervision and with support from a senior team member. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering with typical relevant experience ranging from 0-2 years. Previous experience in a sector such as Refining, Ethylene, Petrochemicals, Polymers, LNG, or Hydrogen is preferred.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Process Engineering Tasks: Process simulation using HYSYS and production of process datasheets and heat and material balances; Developing P&IDs including hydraulic calculations, relief valve sizing, vessel sizing, design condition development, etc.; Utility and offsites design development such as utility balances associated with steam, cooling water, air, hot oil, fuel gas, nitrogen, etc.; Reviewing relevant supplier information impacting process design.
HSSE & Compliance: Strong commitment to Zero Harm and HSSE policies and procedures. Demonstrates commitment to compliance with all laws, regulations and corporate policies ensuring the highest of ethics in business conduct, including but not limited to the KBR's Code of Business Conduct, FCPA, ITCO and other relevant anti-corruption policies.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills: BS in Chemical Engineering required; 0-2 years relevant experience; Solid knowledge of Chemical Engineering disciplines; Ability to perform under pressure; Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Decarbonization - Energy Transition - Sustainability.
