Job summary

Magen David Yeshivah in Brooklyn is seeking an Associate Teacher for the Early Childhood division. The role supports the Head Teacher, assists with lesson preparation, tracks attendance, and helps create a nurturing classroom environment for young learners aligned with the Jewish calendar.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field and fluency in Hebrew; candidates pursuing a Masters degree are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Teacher with lesson preparation and materials.
• Supervise students and manage class in Head Teacher's absence.
• Track attendance and calculate grades as needed.
• Collaborate with Head Teacher to address student needs.

Job description

Magen David Yeshivah is looking for an Associate Teachers at our Brooklyn school Early Childhood division.

The school year is consistent with the Jewish calendar and closed during summer.

Responsibilities:

• Using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies, as directed by the Teacher, to meet individual students' needs.
• Supervising students and maintaining the responsibility of the class, when the Head Teacher is not present.
• Assisting the Head Teacher with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment.
• Tracking attendance, grading assignments and calculating grades.
• Collaborating with the Head Teacher to identify student's issues.

Qualifications:

• An Associate Teacher should hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Must be fluent in Hebrew
