Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Associate Supplier Program Manager to drive day-to-day program execution, track schedules and milestones, and report on KPIs across cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment in Michigan. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, contracts, logistics, and finance.
  • Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and forward-looking program planning initiatives.
  • Contribute to internal reviews, customer meetings, and executive briefings as part of regular program rhythm activities.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance (ITAR and DFARS).
  • Strategic & Business Development Support (~25%): Assist the Business Development and Strategy teams in analyzing portfolio health and strategic growth areas.
  • Contribute to the development and consolidation of long-term business plans aligned with divisional goals.
  • Help identify overarching capability themes, emerging requirements, and alignment opportunities across programs.
  • Support strategic market assessments and internal planning efforts aimed at increasing competitiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Consolidate program data and insights into strategic roadmaps to inform future investment and sales priorities.

Saab, Inc. has a career opportunity for a motivated, results-oriented Associate Supplier Program Manager (ASPM) to join the Supply Chain team. In this role, you will make significant contributions and gain exposure to a variety of programs while supporting a team of Senior and Lead Supplier Program Managers. Additionally, you will provide direct supplier management for a small program, which will give you the opportunity to develop advanced supplier program management skills and supply chain experience.

Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day execution of a small program, including tracking tasks, schedules, deliverables, and milestones.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), EVM-light, schedule health, cost performance, and risk/issue status.

Support Senior and Lead Supplier Program Managers by consolidating program data and preparing briefings, dashboards, and status reports for leadership and stakeholders.

Compensation Range: $59,900 - $71,900

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

0–2 years of professional or internship experience in project or program management, legal compliance, or business development.

Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word).

Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate across multiple disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to government acquisition processes, including the U.S. DoD acquisition lifecycle.

Experience with business analysis, strategic planning, or market research.

Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM), Agile methodologies, or Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).

Experience using project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Experience with continuous improvement initiatives or Green Belt certification.
