Novo Nordisk is seeking a Strategic Finance professional in Plainsboro, NJ to lead long‑term forecasting and financial analyses for North America Operations. You will maintain forecasting models, perform scenario analysis and assess external opportunities in a cross‑functional environment.

The role reports to the Director of Strategic Finance and involves collaboration across Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Insights & Analytics and FP&A teams; travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; advanced degree preferred.
• Two+ years in commercial planning/FP&A or related fields.
• Strong Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Ability to analyse complex data and present insights clearly.

The Position

The Strategic Finance team runs the annual update of the Long-Term Forecast (LTF) for North America Operations (NAO). The process relies on collaboration with cross-functional subject matter experts, high level of market understanding and excellent analytical capabilities to develop and maintain complex forecasting models. Leads development of financial analysis for internal development options based on a holistic market view including scenario modelling and trade‑off analysis to provide strategic recommendations across the Novo Nordisk portfolio. Supports evaluation of external business development opportunities.

Relationships

Reports to the Director of Strategic Finance. Internal interactions includes stakeholders across the NAO organisation as well as global counterparts to ensure long‑term forecast coordination across Novo Nordisk. External relationships may include interactions with various subject matter experts and vendors based on the needs of special projects or implementation of new programs.

Essential Functions

• Supports and drives Long‑Term Forecast process for a therapeutic area
• Responsible for maintaining Long‑Term forecasting model and other financial modelling tools
• Drives long‑term financial analysis within therapeutic area including scenario modelling, trade‑off analysis and preparation of recommendation
• Supports evaluation of external business development opportunities within therapeutic area and provide support as needed for cross therapeutic area portfolio review
• Responsible for monitoring and raising key market events impacting therapeutic area to the attention of the team
• Collaborates with counterparts across Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Insights & Analytics and FP&A teams
• Seen as a team player by all stakeholders

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor 's degree in Accounting, Finance and or relevant field of study is required, advanced degree is preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of progressively relevant commercial planning, financial planning, strategic planning, merger and acquisition or consultancy experience required.
• Two years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Masters or other advanced degrees
• Functional expert in Excel and PowerPoint. Hands‑on experience with financial modelling and/or sales forecasting strongly preferred
• Demonstrated quantitative expertise in structuring complex financial analysis based on a variety of data sources
• Holistic thinker with ability to analyse and interpret complex problems
• Ability to collaborate across all functions and levels; ability to communicate effectively and efficiently to financial and non‑financial peers
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities

The base compensation range for this position is $83,400 to $150,200. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long‑term incentive compensation and/or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
