Opportunity

The position pays between $17.00 - $18.15/hr based on experience. Offerings include bonus incentives, paid certifications, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, and career advancement. Shift: Morning 6 AM to 6 PM with every other weekend. This position is an onsite role, and candidates must be able to work on-site at Ardent - Mountainside in Montclair, NJ.

Responsibilities
  • Assigning accurate MRNs
  • Completing medical necessity / compliance checks
  • Providing proper patient instructions
  • Collecting insurance information
  • Receiving and processing physician orders
  • Utilizing an overlay tool while providing excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey
  • Operating the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable
  • Adhering to policies and providing excellent customer service in these interactions with appropriate compassion
  • Being held accountable for point of service goals as assigned
  • Utilizing quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected
  • Conducting audits of accounts and assuring all forms are completed accurately and timely to meet audit standards, providing statistical data to leadership
  • Pre-registering patient accounts prior to visits, including inbound/outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and other patient information, collecting point of service collections, past due balances, and payment plan options
  • Explaining general consent for treatment forms to the patient/guarantor/legal guardian, obtaining necessary signatures and witness names
  • Explaining and distributing patient education documents such as Important Message from Medicare, Important Message from Tricare, Observation Forms, MOON form, Consent forms, and all forms implemented for future services
  • Reviewing eligibility responses in insurance verification system and selecting applicable insurance plan code, entering benefit data into system to support POS and billing processes for a clean claim rate
  • Accurately screening medical necessity using ABN software to inform Medicare patients of possible non-payment and distributing ABN as appropriate
  • Distributing and documenting other designated forms and pamphlets
Requirements
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences
Minimum Education

High School Diploma/GED.

Required Certifications
  • CRCR required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)
