Job summary

Garner Health, a U.S.-based healthcare AI company, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join its Engineering organization. You’ll build and optimize software that analyzes billions of medical records to rank providers, applying AI to scale impact while protecting patient privacy.

You’ll collaborate across teams, contribute to code reviews, and ship high‑quality features in a mission-driven environment. Equity incentives, flexible PTO, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (Spring 2026) or student with expected graduation Fall 2026 or Spring 2027; BS/MS in CS or STEM
• Solid CS fundamentals with experience in frontend (JavaScript, React) or backend (Python, Node.js) technologies
• Experience with a database system such as PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Docker) is a plus
• Exposure to building with AI coding agents (Claude Code) is a plus
• Track record of shipping high-quality features through internships or personal projects
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Excited to join a high-performing, mission-driven team that values urgency, accountability, and honest feedback

What we're looking for

• Recent graduate (Spring 2026) or currently enrolled student (expected graduation of Fall 2026 or Spring 2027), with a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related STEM field
• Solid CS fundamentals with experience in front-end (JavaScript, React) or back-end (Python, Node.js) technologies
• Experience with a database system such as PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Docker) is a plus
• Exposure to building with AI coding agents (we use Claude Code) is a plus
• A track record of shipping high-quality features through internships or personal projects
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills

Compensation

The target base comp range for this role is $150,000. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive plan and benefits package, including: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health, and more.
