Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie Company in Marietta, GA is seeking a Warehouse Associate. You will complete shipments, pull and palletize products, and ensure accuracy of packing and shipping documents.

The role requires forklift operation, HazMat training, and a safety-first mindset within a fast-paced environment. This full-time, non-exempt position offers on-site work with competitive hourly pay of $19.00 per hour, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck Certification required (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. HazMat Training required (will certify at hire).
• 0-3 months of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience required.
• Equipment: Operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
• Safety: Prioritize safety and promote a safe work environment.
• Math: Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines and company policies.
• Attendance: Reliable, punctual attendance.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with all departments and levels.
• Quality standards: Knowledge of quality standards and QA processes.
• Problem solving: Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with team to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet.
• Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments meet packaging, customer, and quality standards.
• Receive, stock, and rotate product; identify, tag, store and locate finished inventory.
• Create and apply documents, such as shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading for each pallet/shipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. The noise level is loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions.
