Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Security Engineering in Richardson, TX to perform security assessments of business initiatives and to drive adoption of security controls and best practices across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments.

You will review controls for various architectures, assess regulatory and privacy requirements, and collaborate with global teams to enhance the cyber program, risk reporting, and detection capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or related field with required experience in compliance & control gap assessments.
• Experience analyzing risk per regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST) to determine risk levels for gaps identified.
• Experience performing security audits and evaluating security controls in cloud and on‑prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments of business-initiated projects to drive security controls adoption.
• Assess and design security and privacy by design, including data models and cryptographic implementations.
• Review security controls across designs to identify gaps and advise on risk to developers and engineers.
• Collaborate with global team to uplift cyber program maturity and detection capabilities.
