Regeneron is seeking an Associate Scientist to support the Obesity, Muscle and Metabolism group in developing therapeutics for muscle diseases. The role involves bench work in cell biology, tissue engineering, and disease modeling, with opportunity to engage in cutting edge discovery efforts.

You will maintain and expand cells, generate engineered muscle tissue, optimize assays, and handle mice for sample collection, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in a relevant field with 1–2 years in muscle biology.
• Experience in tissue culture, cell-based assays, flow cytometry, and histology (IHC/IF) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand cells in vitro and generate engineered muscle tissue from progenitor cells.
• Develop and optimize cellular assays and readouts for muscle function.
• Handle mice and perform blood and tissue sampling.
• Process tissue samples for molecular and histological analyses.
• Collaborate with teams across Regeneron.
• Analyze data using ImageJ, FlowJo, Excel and Prism.
