Job summary

ARx Pharma seeks a hands-on Pharmaceutical Scientist to assist in the preparation, testing and analysis of drug products in a GMP environment. You will support R&D and operations during tech transfer, scale-up and validation batches, and contribute to process development and formulation improvements.

You will design formulations, evaluate processes, and lead scale-up activities while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely communication with internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus 0–4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical product development OR Ph.D. with 0–2 years’ experience focusing on transdermal/topical/oral/buccal delivery systems.
• Technical understanding of processing equipment for mixing, coating, packaging and lyophilization preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and aptness for lab work.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment and processes for mixing, coating and related steps.
• Familiarity with cGMP, 21CFR Part 211, QbD, PAT, ICH & ISO.
• Independent work capability with limited supervision.
• Fluent English communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with standard software (Office) and Oracle ERP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, testing, and analysis of pharmaceutical products adhering to regulatory and quality standards.
• Support R&D and operations during tech transfer and manufacture of validation and clinical batches; lead scale-up activities.
• Design and development of new formulations and improvements to existing products.
• Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance; manage chemical inventory; assist lab experiments and batch manufacturing.
• Lead scale-up/tech transfer activities and guide project teams.
• Define QTPP, CQAs, CMAs, CPPs for formulations and communicate updates to teams and clients.
• Develop testing methodologies for dosage forms and evaluate physiochemical properties.
• Prepare project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders; ensure SOPs are current.
