Job summary

BeOne Medicines is building a clinical biomarker laboratory to support translational biomarker strategies and clinical drug development programs. The associate scientist will perform biomarker assays using flow cytometry, immunoassays, PCR and IHC, while managing biobank samples and ensuring data quality.

Qualifications

• MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related field or BS with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a clinical, translational or biopharmaceutical R&D lab setting.
• Experience with ELISA/MSD, PCR, histopathology, or flow cytometry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

General Description

We are seeking a highly motivated associate scientist with strong scientific background and analytical lab experience to join our Clinical Biomarker laboratory. This individual will execute and support clinical biomarker assays using flow cytometry, immunoassay, PCR, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) platforms, while overseeing biobank sample management activities. The role will contribute to translational biomarker strategy implementation and support clinical drug development programs through the generation of high-quality biomarker data.

Essential Functions Of The Job

• Manage biobank sample inventory including sample receipt, accessioning, testing and return; maintain accurate documentation throughout the sample management lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate lab records and peer review records as well as data generated from lab team members to ensure the completeness and accuracy of lab documentation and results.
• Support assay development and sample analysis on flow cytometry, ELISA/MSD, PCR or IHC platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing priorities, timelines, and deliverables are aligned with clinical objectives.
• Ensure quality control, data integrity, and timely delivery of analytical results.
• Support routine lab operation items including but not limited to reagent/consumable/lab supply ordering and inventory management, equipment maintenance etc.

Education/Experience Required

• M.S. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related field or B.S. with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a clinical, translational or biopharmaceutical R&D lab setting.
• Demonstrated hands-on lab experience in one or more technologies: ELISA/MSD, PCR, histopathology, or flow cytometry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation and records.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication, organization and project management skills.

Preferred/Nice To Have

• Experience in biobank or bioanalytical sample management is a strong plus.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $37.50/hour - $50.00/hour
