Job summary

Eurofins Discovery seeks an Associate Scientist II to conduct industry-leading cell-based and analytical assays in a laboratory setting with automated and classical methods.

This role involves preparing buffers and reagents, maintaining cell culture in a BSL2 environment, and generating data across ADME Toxicology, Ion Channel, Translational Biology, and related services, with minimal supervision to support project timelines and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Performs work in a laboratory setting, meeting the physical job requirements of a lab role
• Prepares and manages inventory of buffers, reagents, media, semi-finished and finished goods
• Maintains cell culture in a BSL2 laboratory, and adheres to cleanroom guidelines and aseptic technique, according to protocols
• Generates data by performing lab assays in ADME Toxicology, Ion Channel, Translational Biology, Cell and Gene Therapy, and Large Molecule Services
• Conducts production assays with recombinant, primary and traditional cell models used in human tissues to cell-based bioassays
• Performs data calculations and analysis, provides QC review of data and project reports
• Supports mid-size laboratory research and development projects with minimal supervision
• Demonstrates proficiency with, care and maintenance of lab equipment and department assets
• Contributes to scientific community, and site research and development objectives
• Provides training to colleagues and external end users, when required

Job Description

range of therapeutic areas to promote novel therapies for patients in need. This role will conduct industry
leading cell-based and analytical assays in a laboratory setting with automated and classical methods.

Associate Scientist II responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performs work in a laboratory setting, meeting the physical job requirements of a lab role
• Prepares and manages inventory of buffers, reagents, media, semi-finished and finished goods
• Maintains cell culture in a BSL2 laboratory, and adheres to cleanroom guidelines and aseptictechnique, according to protocols
• Generates data by performing lab assays in ADME Toxicology, Ion Channel, TranslationalBiology, Cell and Gene Therapy, and Large Molecule Services
• Conducts production assays with recombinant, primary and traditional cell models used in humantissues to cells and cell-based bioassays
• Performs data calculations and analysis, provides QC review of data and project reports
• Supports mid-size laboratory research and development projects with minimal supervision
• Demonstrates proficiency with, care and maintenance of lab equipment and department assets
• Conducts responsible use of confidential IT and business systems, as required
• Adheres to department SOPs and documentation requirements, maintains accurate datamanagement and reporting
• Works effectively in a team environment, under minimum direction, to achieve project timelines,delivery to customers and quality objectives
• Supports unit goals and demonstrates Eurofins’ competencies, as defined in the job plan
• Provides training to colleagues and external end users, when required
