Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Assay Development Scientist - Pharmacokinetics in Spring House, PA, to join the Bioanalytical Sciences team. The role focuses on developing immunological PK assays and validating them under GxP guidelines, with automation and technology evaluation to improve throughput.

The candidate will design and optimize assays for large molecule therapeutics, troubleshoot performance issues, and collaborate across drug development programs. On-site required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in bioanalytical assay development or similar lab environment.
• Experience developing and executing ligand-binding or immunological assays (ELISA or ECLIA).
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Job Title: Assay Development Scientist - Pharmacokinetics

Location: Spring House, PA

Work Model: M-F On-Site

We are seeking a Pharmacokinetic (PK) Assay Development Scientist to join our clients Bioanalytical Sciences team in Spring House, PA. This group plays a critical role in the development, validation, and execution of bioanalytical methods that support large molecule biotherapeutic programs across multiple therapeutic areas, from nonclinical research through post-marketing clinical development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and validating immunological assays to support clinical pharmacokinetic (PK) studies under GxP guidelines. This individual will also contribute to assay troubleshooting, evaluation of emerging technologies, and implementation of laboratory automation solutions to enhance bioanalytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, validate, and execute immunological assays supporting clinical PK studies in compliance with GxP regulations.
• Design and implement bioanalytical methods for large molecule therapeutics and biomarkers.
• Troubleshoot assay performance issues and recommend scientifically sound solutions.
• Evaluate, develop, and integrate new bioanalytical technologies and platforms.
• Support laboratory automation initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and throughput.
• Maintain accurate documentation, technical reports, and laboratory records in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams to support drug development programs across all stages of development.
• Handle and analyze human and animal biological specimens in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bioanalytical assay development or a related laboratory environment.
• Experience developing and executing ligand-binding or immunological assays, including ELISA and/or ECLIA methodologies.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with bioanalytical platforms such as MSD, Gyros, Singulex, or similar technologies.
• Experience with antibody pair selection and immunoassay development.
• Familiarity with laboratory automation platforms and automated assay workflows.
• Experience processing tissue homogenates for therapeutic and/or biomarker analysis.
• Working knowledge of electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs) and laboratory inventory management systems.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to scientific excellence and continuous improvement.

Compensation

$34-40/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
