Job summary

Elsevier is seeking an Associate Scientific Editor for Cell Press Blue (Physical Science) to help shape a vibrant, multidisciplinary journal across Boston, London, and Amsterdam. You will work closely with the Editor-in-Chief to develop areas, manage submissions, and drive new initiatives with international research teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with other editorial teams at Cell Press and with production, marketing, press and advertising teams.
• Undertake editorial evaluation of submissions to ensure quality and value of the journal.
• Develop a broad, impactful, topical, and cohesive journal.
• Draw on and develop a network of leading researchers to attract influential submissions.
• Travel extensively to attend conferences and visit leading research institutes.
• Play an important role supporting the wider research ecosystem at Cell Press.
