Job summary

Princeton University’s Princeton Quantum Initiative invites outstanding applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship to advance research in quantum science and engineering across physics, electrical engineering, computer science, chemistry, and mechanical engineering. Candidates should have or be nearing a PhD in Physics, EE, Chemistry, or CS, with a proven track record in quantum science.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, EE, chemistry or CS or nearing completion.
• Strong research record in quantum science or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in foundational quantum science, materials, devices, and quantum computing.
• Collaborate with physics, EE, CS, chemistry and mechanical engineering faculty.

Job description

The Princeton Quantum Initiative seeks outstanding applicants for our postdoctoral fellowship program.

Appointments, which will be to a three-year term, will be at the rank of Associate Research Scholar. These highly competitive positions will support research in quantum science and engineering across several departments throughout the university, including physics, electrical engineering, computer science, chemistry, and mechanical engineering. Research areas include foundational quantum science, quantum materials, devices for quantum technologies, and quantum computer science. Appointments come with a highly competitive salary and $10,000 annually in research funding.

Applicants should have a strong track record of research excellence in a related field and should have or be approaching a PhD in a related discipline (Physics, EE, Chemistry, or Computer Science).
