Job summary

Invenergy LLC in California seeks an Associate, Renewable Development to support utility-scale geothermal, solar, storage and wind projects. You will advance existing developments and identify new prospects.

You will negotiate leases, obtain permits, coordinate interconnection, and help manage budgets and schedules with internal and external teams. A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in renewable energy are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 4 years of work experience in renewable/clean energy or relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of the development process of clean and renewable energy projects.
  • Strong public speaking and personal skills.
  • Ability to write effective, concise reports.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Coordinate landowner communication efforts.
  • Take a lead role in obtaining certain local, state and/or federal permits.
  • Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholders.
  • Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities.
  • Assist project budgeting and scheduling.
  • Manage tasks according to budgets and schedules, including coordinating internal and external technical support.

Position Overview

The Associate, Renewable Development will support the department with the development of utility-scale geothermal, solar, storage, and wind energy projects in California.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • 4+ years of work experience in the renewable/clean energy industry or relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge within energy project development, real estate development, transmission and power project engineering are advantageous.
  • San Francisco, San Diego, or Los Angeles metro area preferred.
Base Pay

Base Pay$85,000.00 - 103,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 20% - 30%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.

In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
