Job summary

Conagra Brands in Indianapolis is seeking a QA professional to implement and support quality and food safety programs under supervision. You will design processes, participate in cross-functional teams, and help ensure regulatory compliance across suppliers and manufacturing sites.

The role emphasizes data analysis, trend investigation, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to travel and contribute to a safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

  • BS in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field required or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years’ industry experience required.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA)
  • Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills required.
  • Sound report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Familiarity in using continuous improvement tools (SPC, Capability Studies, etc.) and fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated strength in setting an example for others.
  • Ability to travel independently and as a responsible company representative.

Job description

Under direct supervision, implements programs within the functional area of the FPRA group. Supports the implementation of relevant Quality and Food Safety processes and procedures. Responsible for the daily execution of activities related areas of expertise and focus. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Assists in designing and implementation of processes and procedures within assigned technical area(s) of responsibility. Participates in cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence of QA initiatives and process improvement of our suppliers, under limited supervision. Performs assigned technical tasks/duties associated with department processes and procedures. Gathers and studies data to understand trends and issues and to make decisions related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility. Provides technical and decision-making support and analyzes data in managing situations and issues relative to quality and/or food safety as necessary. Interfaces/provides technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure regulatory compliance, food safety and quality of company’s products. Interfaces with company facilities to facilitate an ongoing effective relationship with packaging material suppliers. Evaluates effectiveness and assures continuous improvement in assigned areas of responsibility.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

BS in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field required or equivalent experience.

1+ years’ industry experience required.

Knowledge of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.

Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA)

Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills required.

Physical Requirements

When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply: You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation Pay Range:$59,000-$79,000

#LI-Onsite #LI-MW1 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
