Job summary

A reputable engineering firm based in New Orleans is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to oversee the quality assurance and control processes throughout product development and manufacturing. The candidate will engage with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with rigorous quality standards. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Preferred candidates will have experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or related STEM field).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a required security clearance.
• Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of quality tools like root cause analysis and control plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills and collaborative work.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and specifications for quality requirements.
• Support First Article Inspections and perform in‑process inspections.
• Assist in root cause analysis for non‑conformances and implement CAPAs.
• Monitor key quality metrics and report findings.
• Help develop and improve quality control plans and procedures.
• Participate in audits and support continuous improvement activities.
