The UCSF School of Dentistry is actively recruiting an Associate Prosthodontist for our UCSF Dentistry San Mateo Place Park Practice, a high-volume, multi-specialty dental clinic located in the city of San Mateo. This flagship practice is designed with a strong emphasis on technology, integrated care, and an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least one year of professional dental experience
• Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
• Proven experience working as a prosthodontist
• Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Outstanding patient management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making.
• Strong clinic/center patient care management skills. Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and/or information technology. Broad knowledge of patient population served and the requirements for the delivery of services.
• Commitment to using an antiracist/anti-oppressive framework and lens to patient care, education, teaching, and advocacy.

Required Certifications:

• Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree or a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
• Possession of an active California dental license
• Must be eligible for licensure or special permit in the State of California
• Completion of a CODA-accredited training program in Prosthodontics

Preferred:

• Certification through the American Board of Prosthodontics is preferred
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.
• Familiar with processes for medical records, Epic, Axium and billing
• Skills in complex esthetic and reconstructive dentistry
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with patients and colleagues
