Job Description

The project manager – renewable generation plans, develops, budgets, and directs short and long-term renewable projects within MidAmerican Energy Company. This role is responsible for implementing projects at renewable generating facilities in a manner that is safe, compliant, cost-effective, and timely. Projects may involve multiple site locations and expenditures in the tens of millions.

Responsibilities

• Develops project plans, provides direction, and coordinates project activities related to capital investments and process improvement at renewable generating facilities, including new construction (40%).
• Maintain strict safety and regulatory compliance while completing work within scheduled time frames and budgets (20%).
• Conduct periodic progress meetings and report on project status (10%).
• Administer contracts related to major projects at renewable facilities (20%).
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned (10%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent work experience (typically six years for applicants without a degree).
• Four years of renewable generation project experience, project management, or engineering for the associate role.
• Six years of experience for the project manager role.
• Eight years for the senior project manager role.
• At least two years in a senior technical or leadership role preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
