Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Associate Project Manager focused on fire alarm systems to support project managers in design and installation efforts nationwide, with possible base in our Fenton, MO office. Travel to project sites may be required.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors, and field staff, manage documentation, assist in estimating and safety compliance, and contribute to project profitability across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in job experience or Technologies field experience.
  • Fire Alarm experience- Notifier, Siemens, Potter, etc.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ensures maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Knowledge of general construction standard practices.
  • Experience with Estimating Software a plus.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee total construction and design effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with project scope, budget and timeline.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate communication between internal and external project members including clients, general contractors, subcontractors, superintendents, foremen, and unions.
  • Authorize and/or approve all project staff transactions including selection of superintendent and wages.
  • Provide direction to planning, scheduling and engineering functions.
  • Participate in estimating projects and writing bid proposals.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions, payment approvals; send invoices and change order requests.
  • Assist in implementation/interpretation of corporate safety programs and ensure OSHA guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies and maintain official project documentation.
  • Maintain understanding of labor agreements and standards specific to projects.

About the Position

The Associate Project Manager provides assistance to the Project Manager in the overall administrative and technical direction for a project. Project Managers have overall bottom-line responsibility for profit and loss and consequently carry the authority appropriately. Associate Project Managers provide technical and engineering support as required by the projects needed.

This is a role with a focus on project design or project installation of fire alarm systems.

Day in the Life

  • Participate in estimating projects and writing bid proposals.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions, payment approvals; send invoices and change order requests.
  • Assists in the implementation/interpretation of corporate safety programs and ensures OSHA guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure that all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret the policies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all official project documentation and logs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of labor agreements and standards specific to projects.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in job experience or Technologies field experience.
  • Experience installing Building Management Systems is a plus
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
