Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking an Associate Project Manager, Construction in Minneapolis. This role supports the Project Manager across administration and technical directions on national technologies installation projects.

Travel to site is required, and the team collaborates with clients, GC’s, subcontractors, and unions. The ideal candidate will have a construction or electrical engineering background, strong communication, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects while adhering

Qualifications

  • BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with Building Management Systems is a plus.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail across the project lifecycle.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of general construction standard practices.
  • Experience with estimating software is a plus.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee total construction and design effort to align with scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and union officials.
  • Authorize staff transactions including superintendent and foremen selections and wages.
  • Direct planning, scheduling, and related engineering functions.
  • Assist in estimating projects and writing bid proposals.
  • Review purchase requisitions and approvals; process invoices and change orders.
  • Support safety programs and ensure OSHA guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies and standards.
  • Maintain project documentation and logs.
  • Understand labor agreements and project-specific standards.

About the Position

The Associate Project Managerprovides assistance tothe Project Manager in the overall administrative and technical direction for a project. Project Managers have overall bottom-line responsibility for profit and loss and consequently carry the authority appropriately. Associate Project Managers provide technical and engineering support as required by the projects needed. This is a role on our National Technologies Installation team.Travel to project site is required.

Day inthe Life
  • Oversee total construction and design effort (if applicable) to ensure project is constructed in accordance with project scope, budget and timeline.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate communication between both internal and external members on the project including, but not limited to: Clients, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, General Foremen, and union officials.
  • Authorize and/or approve all project staff transactions including choice of superintendent, general foremen, foremen, staff volume and wages.
  • Providedirectionto planning, scheduling and any applicable engineering functions
  • Participate in estimating projects and writing bid proposals.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions, payment approvals; send invoices and change order requests.
  • Assists in the implementation/interpretation of corporate safety programs and ensures OSHA guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure that all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret the policies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all official project documentation and logs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of labor agreements and standards specific to projects.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in job experience or Technologies field experience.
  • Experience installing Building Management Systems is a plus
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ensures maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Knowledge of general construction standard practices.
  • Experience with Estimating Software a plus.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu a plus.
Salary Range
  • $65,000 -$83,600 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
