Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced study coordinator to support survey research projects. You will plan, implement, and evaluate study activities in collaboration with investigators and data staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment, data collection, training staff, monitoring quality control, and reporting progress. A Bachelor's in a relevant field and two years of survey research experience are required; a Master's is preferred. This is a grant-funded position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, Public Health, Basic Science, or a relevant clinical discipline with two years survey research experience including interviewing, supervision of data collection procedures, and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of data processing and statistical analysis; understanding of scientific principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate phases of assigned projects and translate planning decisions into concrete tasks.
• Coordinate administration and coordination of various study aspects.
• Ensure study activities conform to the protocol.
• Coordinate hiring, training, direction, and evaluation of study staff.
• Coordinate recruitment, data collection, and follow-up activities.
• Develop and revise study materials, forms, manuals, and brochures as requested.
• Develop reporting procedures and provide progress reports.
• Establish quality control procedures and computerized monitoring/reporting methods.
• Represent the project to community agencies and organizations as liaison and spokesperson.
• Maintain billing files for project accounts and ensure supplies for the project.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of certain phases of the assigned project(s). Translates planning and design decisions into concrete activities and tasks to be undertaken and set priorities as appropriate.
• Responsible for the administration and coordination of various aspects of the study.
• Responsible for ensuring that aspects of the study are conducted in accordance with the study protocol.
• Coordinates the hiring of study personnel and provides training, direction, guidance, and evaluation of work activities.
• Coordinates recruitment, data collection, and follow-up activities.
• Oversees and develops collection methods. Creates and revises study materials, forms, manuals, and brochures as requested.
• Develops reporting procedures and provides progress reports.
• Develops and documents quality control monitoring procedures and standards. Develops computerized methods for monitoring and reporting on various aspects of the study.
• Represents the project(s) to all related community agencies and organizations, serving as the study’s liaison, spokesperson, and representative.
• Establishes and maintain separate billing files on specific accounts related to individual departments/sections during the course of the project.
• Orders and maintains adequate supplies for the project.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein
