Potelco, Inc. seeks an Associate Project Manager to join the Estimating team in Sumner, WA. You will deliver cost-effective estimates for Substation, Distribution, or Transmission projects and collaborate with clients, vendors, and field leadership to refine cost, schedule, and scope.

The role requires strong Python and AI capabilities, a civil engineering/engineering management background, and willingness to travel. The team emphasizes accuracy and safety across EPC projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 1+ years of experience with Python and AI.
• Strong written communication skills; ability to prepare basic and complex technical documents.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment.
• Must be willing to travel as estimating necessitates.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to identify opportunities and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s).
• Valid driver’s license.

The Assistant Estimator is responsible for providing estimating services to deliver cost-effective and detailed estimates of Substation, Distribution, or Transmission construction projects. This position is responsible for the successful estimating of projects accomplished through managing all aspects of estimate development including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or relevant experience.
• At least 1+ years of expercience with Python and AI.
• Demonstrated skills in written communications; ability to compose basic as well as complex technical documents, formal letters, invoices.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment.
• Must be willing to travel as estimating necessitate.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, or equivalent.
• Ability to identify opportunities and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s).
• Valid driver’s license.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $34.00/Hr. - USD $38.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
