Job summary

Societe Generale’s IDT Group in New York seeks an analyst to support infrastructure and digital infrastructure financing, advisory, and debt arranging across the Americas. You will assist with lending mandates, financial modelling and due diligence for projects in transport, water, telecom and digital infra.

Responsibilities include underwriting, advisory or syndication support, and preparing materials for lenders and ratings agencies, while contributing to and promoting a positive working

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience (in project finance, investment banking or related fields).
• Strong due diligence and financing modelling experience.
• Previous experience in project finance would be appreciated.
• Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications and formal credit training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in the execution of lending and advisory mandates for financial sponsors, infrastructure funds and corporate clients in the infrastructure, digital and telecommunication sector.
• Assist the deal team in financial modelling for financing or advisory mandates, from running sensitivities to developing PF models to support.
• Assist the deal team in all aspects of the financing, including due diligence process, internal profitability calculation, credit analysis and drafting of the credit application, credit approval process.
• Due Diligence: Assist with due diligence, including the accurate screening and analysis of all publicly available, data room, and third-party information, filings and reports.
• Assist in the advisory or syndication process, including drafting of materials for lenders and ratings agencies and interacting with lenders and rating agencies.
• Develop and maintain marketing materials promoting Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (project finance and structured finance) and support the development and delivery of pitches to financial sponsors and corporate clients on specific transactions.

Candidate will be a member of the IDT Group (Infrastructure, Digital and Telecom), a New York based team dedicated to infrastructure and digital infrastructure financing, advisory, and debt arranging in the following sectors, across all Americas:

• Transport (Roads, Bridges, Airports, Rail, Seaports, Car Park, EV charging)
• Social Infrastructure (University Energy Systems)
• Water and waste management
• Digital Infrastructure (Broadband/Fiber/Data Center, Digital Technology)

Main Accountabilities

Transaction execution and Due Diligence

• Provide support in the execution of lending and advisory mandates for financial sponsors, infrastructure funds and corporate clients in the infrastructure, digital and telecommunication sector
• Assist the deal team in financial modelling for financing or advisory mandates, from running sensitivities to developing PF models to support

Marketing

• Develop and maintain marketing materials promoting Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (project finance and structured finance) and support the development and delivery of pitches to financial sponsors and corporate clients on specific transactions
• Assist senior members of the team in creating marketing presentations to position the bank to identify and generate new revenue and cross-selling opportunities and secure new financing and/or advisory mandates

Compliance/Closing Process

• Ensure that all KYC, compliance procedures and checklists are adhered to and completed
• For transaction closings, ensure that administrative instructions are properly communicated, documented and disseminated and funds flows are accurately completed

Training

• Assist with the training and development of Analysts in becoming competent and productive deal team members
• Contribute to and promote a positive working environment; be an advocate of the bank and a positive role model

Required

Profile required

• 3+ years of relevant work experience (in project finance, investment banking or related fields)
• Strong due diligence and financing modeling experience

COMPENSATION

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
