Job Description:

L3 Harris is seeking a Senior Associate Project Engineer forour Huntsville, AL Headquarters location. The Senior Associate Project Engineer role involves performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program leadership. Undergeneraldirection, you will be responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments. Additionally, you will coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting while providing support to the program technical lead.

Essential Functions:

• Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques
• Read, interpret, and write specifications and technical documents
• Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals
• Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments
• Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas
• Understanding and/or leads Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process
• May be assigned Earned Value Management duties
• Review and approve engineering drawings
• Travel up to 10%

Qualifications:

To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering a related field or have completed their bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
